This “hole in the wall” restaurant in the heart of downtown Montreal might not look like much, but Phở Nguyen makes an excellent bowl of phở! Marked by its flavor, some broth and generous side dishes, eating here is always a satisfying experience.

If you’re into sushi, Ryù is where it’s at. This place has a super fun, festive vibe, making it great for nights out with friends or even a special date. The sushi is always fresh and beautifully presented. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but totally worth it for the quality and experience.

For those days when you’re craving Italian, Parma Café is the spot. Their sandwiches are out of this world, packed with flavor and just the right amount of crunch. It's a casual, laid-back place, perfect for grabbing a quick bite between classes. Plus, their prices are student-friendly.

Shaughnessy Café holds a special place in my heart. It’s the perfect cozy spot to chill with friends or get some studying done. The coffee is top-notch, and they have a great selection of snacks, from pastries to pizza slices. The vibe here is super relaxed, making it a great escape from campus.

If you’re looking for something different, check out Otto Yakitori. They specialize in grilled skewers, and everything is cooked to perfection. The flavors are unique and delicious. It’s a fun spot to hang out and try something new, without breaking the bank.

Kazu

Last but definitely not least, Kazu is a must-visit. This Japanese restaurant is always buzzing with energy. The dishes are creative and incredibly tasty, all at prices that won’t hurt your wallet. It’s a favorite among students for good reason – the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is lively.
